Dressage Clinic with Toni Jones

Come and work on the dressage tests of your choice on Sunday, April 3, at Cypress Keep in Plant City. Our judge/clinician is Toni Jones, who is a recorded dressage judge for the ADS (and nearing completion of her recorded judge status in pleasure driving as well). Toni’s equine history began with ridden dressage, where she successfully competed at the Intermediate-II division. She now trains for Jacqueline Musler and enjoys the dressage movements of those beautiful Friesians. 

Pick out any ADS dressage test for a 40x80 arena (Training 1-4, Prelim 1-4), and Toni will work you individually for 20 minutes through your test, and provide a thorough critique and suggestions. You can be equipped with a radio if you would like to hear commentary “as you drive” and you will be offered the opportunity to drive your test again if time remains in your slot. Toni will also have a microphone so auditors can watch and listen in. During the lunch break, Toni will give a short lecture on what judges are looking for in a test, turnout, and ways to prepare for dressage. She will also answer any other questions during that time.

Fees

The fee for each 20-minute timeslot including all-day auditing is $15. If space is available, you can reserve a second timeslot for another test for $10. The audit fee is $5. Paddocks are $5 per day per equine. Lunch is $7, or bring your own. Camping is $10 per night. Registration and payment for this event must be postmarked by March 28, 2005. Late entries (space available only) are $25 per session.

Safety Information and Rules

• All drivers should dress appropriately for dressage, including hat, whip, and apron.
• All members of your party must sign a liability release form, including drivers, navigators, grooms, guests, or assistants. Additional Liability Release forms can be downloaded by Clicking Here.
• All dogs/pets must be kept on a leash at ALL TIMES.
• All children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision at ALL TIMES.
• There is absolutely no smoking allowed within 25 feet of any paddock or stall, as well as the house and lanai area.
• You are welcome to drive other trails and hazards on the property, but hardhats are required.

A COMPLETE Entry guarantees your slot - signed entry form, Coggins papers, and payment. Incomplete entries will receive lower priority.

NOTE : DAYLIGHT SAVINGS HAPPENS SATURDAY NIGHT BEFORE DRESSAGE - MOVE CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR - DON'T BE LATE FOR YOUR DRESSAGE TEST!
