Paintball Carriage Driving
- Drivers will drive a "blind" (no previous walking) course with numerous obstacles and ten numbered targets. The navigator (required) will act as a "gunner" equipped with a paintball gun and 30 balls. The course of obstacles had ten targets. The goal is to hit all ten targets with the fewest number of shots in the fastest time. Scores are calculated as follows: The total number of seconds on the course, with a one-second bonus per paintball brought back. Missing a target puts you down a tier (as in show jumping). Only clean rounds (all targets hit) qualifies you for final placings.
Competition starts at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2005. All entries will complete their first run before anyone starts a second run. Second runs will have a different set of targets and entries will go in placing order (best score from the previous run goes first). Additional runs will be offered on a time/space available basis.

Safety Information and Rules
- Hardhats/Safety helmets are required for both driver and navigator. If you don't have one, we will be glad to loan you one.
- Eye protection is required for both driver and navigator. Sunglasses or eyeglasses are sufficient. If you don't have eye protection, we will be glad to loan you ours.
- We will be providing you with a paintball gun and the balls.
- You may use your own paintball gun, provided it is equipped with a safety, and we can load and unload it.
- You may not use your own paintballs. We are using special paintballs that are compatible with the environment, as we will be competing on EPA protected land and need to be kind to our nine endangered species. Please use the paintballs we provide.
- All members of your party must sign a liability release form, including drivers, navigators, grooms, guests, or assistants. Additional Liability Release forms can be downloaded by Clicking Here.
- All dogs/pets must be kept on a leash at ALL TIMES.
- All children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision at ALL TIMES.
- There is absolutely no smoking allowed within 25 feet of any paddock or stall, as well as the house and lanai area.
- You are welcome to drive other trails and hazards on the property, but hardhats are required.
Fees: $10 overall fee for the day includes the use of equipment and 50 paintballs (20 for practice and one 30-ball run), plus $2.50 per additional run. Paddocks are $5 per horse per paddock for the day. Post entries (after 12/30/2004) are $20 on a space available basis only. Camping is $10 per night.
* There are 9 paddocks available. Paddocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 are 16’ x 16’. Paddock 6 is 12’ x 16’ (better for a pony or mini). Paddock 8 (next to washrack) is 24 x 16 and fits two minis or one very large horse. Paddock 9 is about 80x80’ and reserved first for pairs or multiples. You are also welcome to tie to your trailer for no charge.
