North American Preliminary Championship

 

December 1-2-3, 2017

 

A CDE (combined driving event) is a carriage driving event with three phases of competition that include dressage, cones, and a marathon with hazards/obstacles. For those wishing to have a shorter marathon, a DT (Driving Trial) is offered, which is a shortened form of a CDE  and great for any age, any level, and any equine.  For those not wishing to compete in the marathon, a Combined Test (CT) is offered (dressage and cones only). This competition is recognized by the American Driving Society (ADS).   You can access the official ADS Omnibus Listing for this show. 

 

This show also serves as the North American Preliminary Championship.  Preliminary drivers who qualify can compete in the CDE Championship (or can opt not to compete in the Championship).

  • Note that all camping requires an RV reservation - no overnights in horse trailers or other dry camping is allowed at the resort.

  • Fill in your Grand Oaks liability  release in advance (one needed for every person in your party)
  • Complete your Announcer form in advance!
  • Saturday night competitor dinner tickets are $30 each, must be purchased in advance.
